From one alpine region to another: While Cortina d’Ampezzo lies in the Italian Alps, Kvitegga is the highest mountain (1,717 m.a.s.l.) in the Sunnmøre Alps of Northwestern Norway. “Kvit”, meaning white, is closely associated with snow.
